Skin
Death of an Object
Sion Hill Gallery, Bath - Jan 2022

This performance/installation piece was exhibited at Sion Hill Gallery, Bath as a part of Death of an Object. The exhibition aimed to create discourse around; transference of memory, commemoration, mechanisms of value, collections, transcendence (of taste), value in the idea and what does it mean to be an object.

My installation represented body image and escapism, using the box as a tool of reflection. The fabric was adaptable to all body shapes and sizes. The audience was encouraged to step inside, imprint themselves onto it and release any negative thoughts.

The work helps to question the relationship between the user and their body through the concept and materiality of skin.
